Stéphanie Hennequin Wins CSI2 Best Rider at Equita Lyon 2026

French showjumper Stéphanie Hennequin concluded an impressive week at Equita Lyon 2026 by claiming the STX CSI2 Best Rider Award, presented by Stephex Horsetrucks. Following a series of strong performances, including a runner-up finish in the CSI2 Grand Prix and a victory on the final day, Hennequin was rewarded with the use of a new STX 2 Horse Horsetruck for one year.

Held from 28 October to 1 November 2026, Equita Lyon once again welcomed the international equestrian community for five days of top-level sport. Among the riders competing in the CSI2* classes, Hennequin distinguished herself through consistency, precision and results with multiple horses. Her week ended with a memorable moment in the arena, where the distinctive STX 2 Horse was presented as part of her Best Rider Award.

A Remarkable Week for Stéphanie Hennequin in Lyon

For Hennequin, the competition in Lyon was marked by an impressive series of results. On Thursday, 29 October, the French rider secured second place in the CSI2* 1.45m class aboard Qupido A van de Nachtegaele, completing a clear round in 58.04 seconds. The combination continued its strong form in Saturday’s CSI2* Grand Prix. After securing a place in the jump-off, Hennequin delivered another faultless performance, crossing the finish line in 33.75 seconds. Just 0.52 seconds separated her from victory, with fellow French rider Cédric Hurel taking the win aboard Fantasio Floreval Z in 33.23 seconds.

Hennequin’s week was not over yet. On Sunday, she returned to the arena with Candice van de Celiebrug Z, claiming victory in the CSI2* 1.40m class after a clear round in 58.74 seconds. The results demonstrated her ability to perform consistently across different classes and horses, earning her the title of STX CSI2 Best Rider at Equita Lyon 2026.

From the Podium to the Driver’s Seat

The Best Rider title came with a particularly special reward. As part of Stephex Horsetrucks’ partnership with GL events Equestrian Sport, Hennequin received the use of a new STX 2 Horse Horsetruck for one year. The STX Renault Master made its appearance in the international arena, bringing a different kind of horsepower into the spotlight.
